Today. . .Mini Album

Here's a quick peek at a mini album I recently made.  I challenged myself to create the album WITHOUT any DP {decorative paper}. . .and if you know me. . .you know that I LOVE DP!!  So, I quickly pulled out an old favorite. . .my Ali Edwards stamps (from Technique Tuesday). . .and a new favorite. . .Crackle Paint by Tim Holtz (from Ranger).  I eventually added stamping from Papertrey Ink and Unity also.  This turned out to be a fun little project. . .something completely out of my element.  : )

I started with a Maya Road Large Tag Coaster album and covered each page with the crackle paint.  I think that the cover photo with the word 'today' on it best shows some of the cool crackle stuff.  Next, I used acryllic paint and distress inks to stamp the polka dot strips across the pages.  The edges are all inked with distress ink.  I added lots of stamped phrases and images. . .often stamping 2-3 times before reinking to add dimension.  The photos are printed with a stacked photos digi image from Katie Pertiet.  Other accents incloude a Maya Road mini envelope (for a small personal note) on the inside cover, a 'Wonderful' token placed in the window on the cover and a doiley/lace strip across the front cover.

It's a rainy day over here.  After I hit the grocery store. . .do a few dishes. . vacuum. . .start laundry. . .and help touch up paint in our kitchen {we've been painting it to make it more 'spicey'}. . .I REALLY hope to do some scrapping.  And when the sun does decided to come out (hopefully tomorrow) I hope to photography this stack of projects I've been emersed in.  ; )
