Quick & Easy Treat Bags

I whipped up a few quick & easy treat bags for my kids and nieces last week.  What's great, is that they can be created for just about any imaginable holiday or celebration.  Here's what they look like, and easy how-to's for making them yourself.

Supplies:
  • 8 1/2 X 11 Cardstock (1 per treat bag)
  • Large Glassine Bags (1 per treat bag)
  • Double Sided Tape (ex. Scor-Tape)
  • Stapler
  • Embellishments (ribbon, buttons, stamped images, die cuts etc.)
  • Basic Supplies (paper trimmer, ruler etc.)
Step 1:
  • Cut cardstock in half so that you end up with two 4.25 X 11 inch strips
Step 2:
  • Using double sided tape, place a 4.25 in. strip along one side of cardstock (the short side)
  • Take second piece of cardstock and place on top of double sided tape to create a 4.25 X 21 strip of paper (approximately. . .no need to measure this perfectly)
Step 3:
  • With the long strip of cardstock in front of you, score *measuring from left to right* @ 1 inch & 7 inches
  • Then *measuring from right to left* @ 6 inches
  • Fold scored lines to form 'A frame' bag cover
Step 4:
  • Gather treat(s) into glassine bag and fold over once
  • Place glassine bag inside bag cover making sure the top is tucked inside the fold over flap
  • Staple (making sure glassine bag and cardstock all gets stapled together to keep it in place)
Step 5:
  • Decorate with embellishments, gift tags and whatever you'd like
Here are a few step-by-step pics I took. . .they may help.

Recipe:

Easy-peasy.  These are fun & easy to make, use very few supplies, and are super-versatile.  Hope you enjoy!
